About the neighborhood
The Jordaan is one of the most romanticized districts of Amsterdam and even of The Netherlands. Built in the first half of the 17th century as a district for the working class and emigrants, later in the 60's taken by the hippies, the Jordaan has become now a truly exciting and diverse area to explore – one of the most expensive and upscale places in the Netherlands.
The area is famous for its cafés and restaurants, markets and funny little shops. There is a lot to do and discover, just walking around on the canals, squares and small streets is a lot of fun.
You will be walking distance to The 9 Little Streets, Dam Square, Anne Frank House, Flower Market, Leidseplein and many other famous places.
